- File business registrations in state, county, or city jurisdictions that SBM operates
- Maintain business licenses in the various states, counties, and cities that SBM operates, including filing annual forms/returns
- Prepare annual county and city property tax declarations
- Analyze and update tax fixed asset ledger and reconciliations
- Gather tax information requested by outside CPAs for preparation of the annual income tax returns
- Analyze and audit tax data for accuracy, investigate questionable data and tax corrective action when necessary
- Collaborate with and coordinate team members to assist with management of projects
- Oversee retrieval, validation, and reconciliation of audit data inputs
- Oversee documentation retrieval and organization to support tax audit defense
- Maintain appropriate archives (electronic) for copies of all returns, correspondence, and work papers
- Other duties may be assigned
- Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field from a four-year college or university with 2+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position at SBM Management
The Tax Manager is a key individual contributor and will be an essential part of a team supporting the entire accounting department. The position is responsible for ensuring adherence to all jurisdictional property tax and business license compliance functions.
