Stamford 'Senior Java Developer | Public Transport & Traffic Management | Cloud, Microservices | Berlin

My client is a part of a globally recognized traffic management center located in Berlin.

Their goal is to develop innovative solutions, services, and apps in the field of mobility, traffic, mapping, navigation, charging, autonomous driving, and more, in order to create sustainable, efficient, and environmentally-friendly urban mobility solutions.

As a Java Software Developer, you will be responsible for:

Implementing Java Microservices in the Kubernetes cluster.
Configuring CI/CD pipelines.
Realtime processing of large amounts of data from connected devices (apps, cars, bicycles, traffic lights, buses, trains, etc.) using an eventbased system (Kafka).
Actively participating in discussions about new solutions and troubleshooting.
Ensuring the quality, support, and documentation of our software.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

A degree in computer science/business informatics or equivalent IT work experience.
Several years of professional experience with Java.
Knowledge of some of the following is a plus: Quarkus, Docker, Kubernetes, Mongo, Postgres/Oracle, Kafka, GIT, Maven.
Good command of German and English.
