Description
What will you be responsible for?
As an integral member of Epson's consumables product management team, you will be responsible for product management in US and Canada.
This role will focus on business planning, forecasting, go to market marketing activities, and collaboratively engaging internal and external stakeholders (including Epson's parent company Seiko Epson Corporation) to drive forward new initiatives, develop new products and advance our business objectives.
This position will be based out of our Los Alamitos, CA office with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
At Epson, our hybrid schedule is only 6 days per month.Business Management
- Leads business planning and forecasting process with inputs from key crossfunctional stakeholders
- Coordinates with SEC to monitor key drivers in the consumables business and makes recommendations for achieving business goals
- Conducts and analyzes market information and provides interpretation
Product Management
- Works closely with Marketing Communications, Documentation, Service/Support, Logistics, SEC, and other groups to manage the product throughout its lifecycle
- Provides input into positioning and pricing of assigned product(s)
- Collaborates with sales and logistics organizations to optimize product forecast and product procurement
- Provides input into key advertising and promotions tactics for assigned product(s)
- Manages end of product lifecycle and transition to minimize inventory and ensure launch time frames are met
- Serves as internal and external PR spokesperson for assigned product(s)
- Supports the sales team in customer visits and presentations
- Conducts competitive analysis and benchmarking for assigned product(s)
Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with peers, associated internal Epson teams, and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives
- Manage and leverage relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc.)
- Maintain professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations
Desired Skills and Experience
- Prior Product Management or related business experience required
- Strong market analysis, project management, marketing communications and strategic planning skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in solving complex problems while balancing multiple objectives
- Ability to sell ideas through cohesive and creative presentations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to persuade across organizational lines inside and outside the company
Education
- Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)
- MBA or equivalent education/experience is a plus
Travel
- All Travel
