Position:

We are currently seeking 2nd shift Welders for our South Chesterfield, VA location.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Weld and layout parts to specification.
Keep welding equipment clean and operational.
Weld components MIG or TIG.
Use handheld plasma, acetylene torches, grinders, and drill presses.
Work closely with co-workers, assembly, and engineering team members.
Work with the Service Manager, on Service and Aftermarket related topics that require immediate fabrication.
Welding parts to specification.
Follows established fabrication procedures and standards.
Working toward the job priorities.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A minimum of a high school diploma plus 1-3 years of experience in a welding shop environment is required. However, a combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration.
Journeyman card preferred.
Demonstrated ability to adjust amperage and welding wire feed values for various materials.
Demonstrated understanding of fixturing set-up.
Ability to read and understand prints and tolerances.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers.
Ability to determine the sequence of operations to efficiently weld parts from start to finish.
Ability to determine appropriate bracing and temporary supports of the structural build.
Demonstrated understanding of basic welding implements- horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
Basic understanding of geometry concepts.
High awareness of client satisfaction level and client needs.
Good problem-solving skills.
