    Description

    Position Title:
    Temporary Summer Events Assistant

    Works Closely With:
    Special Assistant to the President for Event Management & Protocol


    Department:
    Event Management & Protocol


    Job Duties:

    • Assist with delivery of resources for events (internal and external).
    • Assist with set up and break down of events.
    • Assist production office as needed for events - both staffing the event and managing resources.
    • Staff events as needed.
    • Performs maintenance/repairs on equipment and resources.
    • Organize event resources located in storage.
    • Assist President's office in execution of commencement.

    Work Schedule:
    Monday-Sunday. Will need to be flexible, and able to work weekends. This position is temporary and will end based on the needs of the University.

    Anticipated Hours Per Week: 35 hours per week

    Qualifications


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Methodist University campus.
    • Licensed driver and ability to drive a golf cart with trailer.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Walking and standing, occasionally move light objects found in an office environment
    • Will require moving chairs and tables
    • Regularly requires use of fingers and hands to work radios, telephone, computer keyboard. Will frequently stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch or bend.
