Purpose of Organization:
Aspire equips the emerging workforce through innovative career services and leadership training.
Overview of Key Programs:
Our youth workforce development programs prepare eligible out-of-school young adults, ages 16-24 to reach their educational and career goals.
These programs provide academic and vocational skills training, mentorship and a variety of services to reduce barriers and empower young adults to achieve their career goals.
We also provide workforce development solutions to supports business in the region. We recruit and train young professionals for the workforce and match them with career opportunities available in the region. We develop a pipeline of young adults to meet employer needs, both now and in the future.
We also provide leadership training and programming for middle and high school students, teaching them how to lead and inspire others.
Key Responsibilities:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will assist in the planning, development, and execution of strategies to connect participants to Aspire programs, including:
- Develop and maintain relationships with schools, organizations, and other groups to promote our services and programs.
- Facilitate presentations to young adults and key referral sources such as schools, organizations, and businesses that serve young adults.
- Identify and attend various community events to recruit young adults to our programs.
- Maintain Customer Relationship Management systems to track participant data.
- Conduct screening assessments with referrals to determine program eligibility.
- Assist with training presentations with young adults.
Qualifications:
- Experience in community outreach and recruitment.
- Experience and ability to facilitate presentations.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays, as needed to attend events.
- Ability to cultivate relationships and build a network.
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to work independently.
- Familiar with Burlington and Camden County communities.
- Familiar with data management systems including Microsoft Office and Google suite.
- Proficiency with social media marketing and content development.
- Must own a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license and insurance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
