Responsibilities:


The Clinical Supervisor assists in administrative responsibility for the department service functions and works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager.

The Clinical Supervisor initiates and counsels staff using the progressive disciplinary process In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the unit assigned.

Independently recognizes and performs duties which need to be done without being directly assigned. Establishes priorities; organizes work and time to meet them. The Clinical Supervisor prepares, conducts and/or oversees department(s) orientation and training of personnel. Supervises and evaluates personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit.
Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions. Ensure the efficient functions of the department. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope practice. Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon of hire and maintain current.
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
  • PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $38.33 to $55.52(TIME and a HALF after 8hours) BLENDED RATE.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
