Construction Scheduler
Our Middletown, CT office is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler to support many ongoing construction engineering projects and support project control activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proficiency with Primavera P
- Track critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the project
- Keep an eye on program milestones and interdependencies
- Spot project risks and include impact analysis for review by project team
- Utilize industry accepted methodologies to analyze delays
- Provide information on items impacting the project schedule
- Responsible for spotting the critical path, as well as offering alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule
- Integrate document changes into the project schedule
- Provide a summary and report on project progress
- Responsible for maintaining current and standardized job files
- Reviews construction design drawings & specifications, conduct field visits and gather all material and data necessary to organize and develop CPM construction schedules
- Runs schedule planning and coordination workshops when necessary
- Prepares CPM schedule reports indicating the critical path, total float, milestones, constraints, etc. by working with the design and construction management teams
- Required to analyze baseline schedule to ensure the construction execution approach aligns with the design, specifications and contract/lease milestones
- Schedule Change Management through the review of change orders.
- Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays
- Prepares and analyzes "what if" scenarios, etc., and makes recommendations for mitigating schedule slippage
- Conducts technical schedule reviews and analyses contractor schedule submissions, tracking monthly delay impacts to the baseline schedule and assessing the responsibility of delays
- Develops summary schedule analysis reports to be presented to Sr. project management staff
- Required to assist in the maintenance of the Primavera P6 database, review database structures, and perform monthly database maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent technical training in construction management is preferred
- Background knowledge of the civil engineering and transportation construction industry
- A minimum of 4 years of Construction Scheduling experience is required
- Experience with management of P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management is required
- Ability to conduct technical schedule reviews and analysis
- Experience developing Time Impact Analysis reports
- Certifications with PMI or AACEI are preferable
- Strong oral and written communication skills
