The Out-of-Door Academy seeks Lower School Lead Teachers to join a thriving school that is committed to providing a relevant and student-centered learning experience.

Responsibilities - Reporting to the Head of Lower School, the Lower School Lead Teachers will be responsible for the following:

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.
Adjust instructional strategies based on ongoing assessment and feedback.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents on academic progress.
Foster open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
Select and manage instructional materials, resources, and technology effectively.
Live the school's mission and core values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and responsibility in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues. Qualifications - The following experience, skills & knowledge are required and/or preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in elementary education required; Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in Pre-K through 5th grade, ideally in an
independent school setting.
A passion for learning and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Proficient with Word, Excel and the Google drive platform.
A successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents. Compensation and Benefits
This is a 10-month full-time exempt position available in August 2024. Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
