Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI).

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will assist with daily living activities, transportation to grocery store and appointments and also provide companionship, and ensure the well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities:

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
Assist with medication reminders
Support clients in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
Assist with meal preparation
Engage in meaningful activities and provide companionship to promote social interaction
Document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information
Transportation to grocery store and doctors appointments

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus
Familiarity with TBI clients
