    ScrubCan Inc.- Fresno, CA

    At ScrubCan Inc. we service government buildings, schools, offices and industrial spaces by filling multiple customer needs including janitorial services, solar cleaning, pressure washing, facility maintenance, and landscaping. For this position, all employees will be trained to become a Janitorial Technician in order to complete day to day customer needs and ensure that the best work quality is being given on the job. Must be able to work independently and with little supervision, be highly detail oriented, quality conscious & have good communications skills to be successful in our company culture.

    All employees will start on a Part-Time basis with the potential to be retained as permanent employee based on performance review after 90 days.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Utilize the client's customized commercial cleaning or maintenance checklist to perform all tasks to the standards established by ScrubCan Inc.
    • Technology knowledge and be able to manage applications that are used for the job.
    • Follow company processes.
    • Produce quality work within pre-set time frames.
    • Perform other cleaning and maintenance duties as specified in schedule or requested by the Manager.
    • Arrive to work (client location) at scheduled time, perform services to established standards and insure the client's facility is locked and secured when you finish and leave.
    • Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies and incident reporting.
    • Use protective equipment correctly such as safety glasses and gloves when appropriate.
    • Flexibility (Relief/Floating in different areas or other nearby buildings) required.
    • Perform all tasks to the standards established by ScrubCan Inc. Common tasks include:
      • Dust furniture, equipment, partitions, walls, etc.
      • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, floors, toilets, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc in restrooms, break rooms, and/or kitchenettes
      • Replenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and kitchen
      • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or hand scrub floors using brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners
      • Empty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areas
      • Wipe down walls and woodwork, doors, wall hangings, baseboards, etc.
    • Lift 25 pounds unassisted up and down a full flight of stairs. Perform physical activity associated with general cleaning.
    • Identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to client in the comments section on the customer checklist.
    • Handle special requests for customers as appropriate.

    Requirements:

    • Must have a valid CA driver license and a reliable means of transportation.
    • Must be reliable, team oriented, dependable, trustworthy and have a strong work ethic.
    • Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background check, fingerprint based criminal background check, physical and/or drug testing.
    • Must have a working phone, will be using it to clock in and out for shifts.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Physical demands include walking and standing, climbing, bending, kneeling to clean floors by hand, push and pull objects, lift and move objects, repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movements.
    • Travel to/from customers business is required.
    • Uniforms and work identification badge provided by ScrubCan must be worn during work hours.

    Education / Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Experience in a service environment is preferred, but not required.

    Skills & Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to speak and write English fluently and relay information between the team, customers, and office staff.
    • Detail-oriented – pays attention to details at each customer's location, with extra attention to special requests.
    • Friendly and Professional – able to deal with customers when they are on-site while cleaning is being performed
    • Team player – Ability to work within a team where members depend on each other to get work done.
    • Self-starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed.
    • Desire to learn, seek new challenges, and take on additional responsibilities
    • Reasoning ability. Good common sense with the ability to solve practical problems.
    • Have accountability for themselves and coworkers.
