for the Department of Central Affairs at the Fairhope Wastewater Management Company

The Fairhope Wastewater Management Company (FWMC) is responsible for the collection and treatment of wastewater in the state capital of Fairhope. In cooperation with and with the support of ITK Rheinland, the FWMC operates the necessary IT structures for the company, the sewer operation, and the 2 major sewage treatment plants. The technical infrastructure is considered a critical infrastructure in accordance with the IT Security Act. The role of the IT Security Officer is organizationally located in the "IT Coordination" department, which currently has 11 employees.

Your tasks:

First point of contact in the context of the contact point according to the IT Security Act and representation of the department management "IT"

Conducting security audits; examinations and certifications to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the IT Security Act

Expansion and maintenance of the existing information security management system (ISMS) in coordination with the municipal IT Security Officer

Initiating and managing the information security process and participating in all related tasks, including data protection requirements

Identification and analysis of threats and risks, determination of suitable security measures, as well as detection of security-related events and management of damage control and follow-up of security
