- Requires 60 college semester hours or 90 college quarter hours (approximately 2 years of study) or an equivalent associate degree or pass the Paraprofessional Assessment Test
- Additional qualifications if required by Federal Legislation
- Assist with classroom management and student supervision during various activities, including small group or individual classroom sessions based on teacher-developed lesson plans.
- Provide support to students as needed, including assistance with toileting/hygiene, reinforcement of learning objectives, and behavioral guidance.
- Aid in student assessments, grading, data collection on student progress, and maintaining routine record-keeping tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials, managing classroom inventory, ordering supplies, and supporting classroom housekeeping duties.
- Contribute to school-wide supervision efforts and assist with the movement of students within the school.
- Maintain a Paraprofessional Certificate and fulfill required professional learning hours.
- Enforce reasonable discipline, escalate issues to the supervising teacher, and monitor the classroom during teacher absences.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff members.
- Utilize basic computer skills for tasks such as word processing, email communication, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
- Administer assistance to medically fragile children as needed per IEP, including tube feeding, toileting, food preparation, and other delegated medical procedures.
- Operate under the general direction of the classroom teacher, exhibiting strong communication skills, organization, and a commitment to supporting student learning and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by administrators, complying with any reasonable job-related requests.
- Daily attendance and punctuality are required to ensure the goals of the work unit are met.

Primary Job Goal: The Classroom Paraprofessional works under the general supervision of the classroom teacher to support the educational activities and needs of students. This role involves conducting small group or individual classroom activities, assisting with student assessments, maintaining records, and providing supervision as needed.
Performance Duties & Responsibilities:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
