Position Description:

Assist with daily operations as it relates to the receiving and production of donations to sort and prepare for sale or recycle.

This is including, but not limited to:
back stock room (donation area), garbage area, restroom cleanliness.


Education:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)


Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications:
Must be of Christian faith.


Tasks:

• Assist with pricing items and maintaining appropriate records
• Assist with record keeping and reporting; responsible for tracking & maintaining Gift in Kind logs
• Assist with operations at the donation door, maintaining proper decorum with donors, assisting Transportation with pickups and deliveries
• Assist donors/customers with loading and unloading of donations/purchases when needed
• Maintain general organization and clean work environment in the stock room area
• Maintain safety in the production area at all times; keep fire lanes clear at all times
• Accurately sort incoming donations using the good, better, best system
• Assist with the sorting, hanging, stocking of clothing and linens
• Remove overflow têxtiles from clothing area, organize and run the bale & recycle program
• Prepare bales and gaylords with recycle product and coordinate with broker for pickup of goods
• Perform store opening/closing procedures as scheduled
• Provide for a Christian environment in accordance with the Mission's Statement of Faith
• Maintain positive customer relations
• Minister to and provide encouragement and prayer to guests and staff as opportunities arise
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Physical and Other Requirements:

• This position is required to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and pounds occasionally. Frequent standing, walking, and bending required.
• Must be able to pass the preemployment physical test based on the job description
