Our client is a renowned, globally operating manufacturer of technical consumer goods. On their behalf, we are seeking a Packaging Engineer (m/f) for direct employment at their location in Ulm.

Your responsibilities:

Independent conception and development of packaging solutions, taking into account sustainability, design, cost, process capability, and quality of packaging (with a focus on retail goods)

Optimization and adaptation of existing packaging (primary, secondary, tertiary)

Project work in multidisciplinary teams for the development and analysis of complex packaging concepts for international expansion

Efficient implementation of the packaging development process throughout the supply chain

Definition and documentation of packaging specifications

Expert and trend scout for sustainable and innovative collaboration with suppliers of packaging materials

Strong interface function, particularly with product management, marketing, R&D, purchasing, production & assembly, and logistics departments

Your profile:

Completed engineering degree in packaging technology

Extensive, several years of professional experience in a similar position, preferably in the technical consumer goods industry

Interest in and experience with innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for the technical consumer goods industry

Knowledge of current EU legislation and sustainability requirements, for example regarding packaging materials
