What you will do:
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the Chief of Staff role is a force multiplier for the Legal team.
You will wear many hats, your core responsibility lies in the definition and execution of strategic projects and legal operations.
You will ensure the operational rhythm of the team, manage priorities and serve as a key leader in execution.We are seeking someone who can elevate the way our organization impacts the business.
We want your expertise, insights, and passion to facilitate effective collaboration, leveraging of tools and process efficiencies and impactful insights for our work.- Define, drive, and refine the operational cadence of the Legal organization and crafts space for Legal to be a proactive partner.- Develop Legal team processes and procedures.- Run high-impact projects, ranging from operational efficiency, deep dives, team off-sites, and annual planning.- Lead special projects requested by the General Counsel and hold others accountable for their participation and deliverables.- Provide cross-functional leadership with P&C, Finance, Marketing, Product, and other critical partners.- Lead coordination on budget and metrics for the Legal organization, including ensuring that correct priorities are measured and constantly improving.- Plan and manage team meetings.- Assist in handling a full range of Legal matters as may be requested.- Conduct Legal research and analysis to asset the GC and other members of the Legal team.- Represent the General Counsel with key partners and leaders as needed.
- Own team communications and processes, including centralize, formalize and update information that should be accessible to the entire organization, or the entire Legal teamWho you are:
- You have 10+ years of experience in legal operations and project management
- You know that Legal can be a strategic advantage for a company, and you are confident that you can push that even further.
- You operate at the highest strategic and efficiency level, while still representing and connecting with the most tactical challenges.
- You are comfortable driving multiple, disparate initiatives at once and adapting as priorities shift you have the tools and approaches to limit the burden.
- You have the strength to speak truth, especially when it's hard and have a clear and compassionate communication style.
- You are eager to go first when ambitious problems arise you are happy to be in the thick of it with a team.
- You seek out partnerships and offer help before others have realized it would be beneficial.
- You are great with broad corporate priorities and minute individual details and see how they are interwoven and interdependent.
