We offer a variety of programs such as Early Preschool, Preschool, VPK, After School Care, and Summer Camp for elementary aged students.

As an Early Childhood Education Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our preschool and providing the highest quality education and care to our students.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a careful, creative, and comprehensive curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards and promotes the development of children.
  • Employing a variety of instructional techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
  • Observing each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self esteem.
  • Encouraging the children to interact with each other and and resolve occasional miscommunications.
  • Guiding children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identifying shapes, numbers, colors, crafts, etc.)
  • Organizing nap/snack hours while supervising and monitoring the progress of each child, and providing individualized guidance and support as needed to ensure they are safe at all times.
  • Tracking children's progress and report to parents through Teaching Strategies while planning and organizing ageappropriate activities, lessons, and materials to support the development of cognitive, physical, social, and emotional skills.
  • Collaborating with parents/staff/ educators regularly to understand the children's background/psyche to promote open communication and maintaining a positive and supportive learning community.
  • Managing administrative tasks, including budgeting, staffing, and maintaining compliance consistent with health and safety standards, licensing and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintaining a clean and net classroom/work area/establishment.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Must have 40 hours of DCF training, plus 5 hours of literacy training.
  • Must have level 2 background screening and pass preemployment drug screen.
- minimum AS degree related to Early Childhood Education is a must for VPK

  • Must have an VPK Directors Endorsement Credential
  • Must have at least 5 years of childcare experience and relevant teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
  • The ability to work positively under the guidance and supervision of administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate with young children, understanding child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability effectively manage a team with creativity, flexibility, and a passion for working with young children.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Must have reliant transportation or means to travel.
  • A+ Plus documented training and experience with Teaching Strategies Software.
  • Infant and Toddler Traing and Preschool Training.
  • Writing lesson plans and event planning.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Education:
AS degree and above (required)


Experience:
Early Childhood Education

  • 5 years (preferred)

License/Certification:
CPR Certification (preferred), Child Development Associate Certification (preferred)
