Position Summary
The Site Supervisor ensures high quality early child development programming and learning environment for a diverse community.

The Site Supervisor will oversee the daily operation of the child development center, provide instructional leadership to our teaching staff, and build collaborative relationships with parents and/or guardians.

The Site Supervisor is responsible for upholding licensing regulations and contract requirements (State, City of SF). This position is exempt and reports to the Bayview Center Director.


What You'll Do

  • Program Development & Staff Management_
  • Build teamwork and facilitate a cooperative learning environment for 05 year olds with staff.
  • Work with staff to identify, provide support, and coordinate services for children with exceptional needs in partnership with the Inclusion Team.
  • Provide instructional leadership including supporting staff towards curriculum and lesson planning based on a Reggio/Creative Curriculum approach.
  • Lead the development of campus and classroom environments that promote optimal learning for children.
  • Attend required meetings and training for continuous professional development for program improvement.
  • With the Sr. Director of ECE, develop a professional development plan including training, jobembedded coaching and staff evaluation and feedback.


  • Program Administration_

  • Responsible for daytoday operations of the Center including updates and training on safety procedures.
  • Manage child development center budget and ensure appropriate resources are maintained.
  • Coordinate and monitor volunteers and interns.
  • Ensure necessary documentation for all the children and families at the Center are kept curren.
  • Ensure program staffing needs, including recruitment and hiring, are met.
  • Adjust staff schedules to meet Center needs with as much flexibility as possible; and maintain appropriate personnel timekeeping and records.
  • Responsible for monitoring and following through on required assessments and screenings (e.g. ITERS, ECERS, DRDP's, ASQ's, CLASS).
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents/guardians and children, and strive to meet their cultural and linguistic needs.
  • Engage parents throughout the program and provide leadership to the Parent Advisory Committee. Address parent concerns as needed.
  • Work effectively and appropriately with other FACES SF employees and programs (e.g. fiscal, enrollment, family support).
  • Work in partnership with other organizations, consultants, and professionals.
  • Interview incoming family members upon enrollment, provide introductions to Center staff, and orient to Center policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for meeting Community Care Licensing requirements, federal, local, and CDC guidelines and regulations (include Title 5 and Title 22).
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times and serve as a model to staff and interns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • You have a solid mix of the following knowledge, ability, skills and experience:_
  • Hold or qualify for the California Child Development Site Supervisor permit.
  • At least three years managing a child development center with demonstrated organizational and people management skills. 35 years classroom experience in ECE setting.
  • Experience with state or federally funded child care programs preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (Spanishspeaking) skills are highly preferred.
  • Ability to meet required state, federal, local, and CDC standards (including but not limited to fingerprint clearance, negative TB test, First Aid, CPR)
  • Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office suite and Google tools.
