- Assembles and analyzes the record for chart completion deficiencies, in accordance with regulatory requirements and medical staff rules and regulations.
- Ensures any deficiencies are assigned to the appropriate medical staff member and data is entered for tracking and monitoring purposes.
- Reviews documentation and updates or clears the deficiencies as appropriate.
- Responsible for answering telephone calls and assisting visitors (including but not limited to physicians, patients, and their family members), while maintaining confidentiality.
- Performs release of information in accordance with HIPAA and state release of information laws.
- Performs daily scanning duties of patient charts into electronic health record and quality assurance audits to ensure appropriate location within record.
- Performs all State of TN monthly and quarterly reporting
- Performs daily monitoring of IMmodal Transcription and monthly audits
