Utilities Estimator - Butler, United States - Mid City Corporation

As an estimator for the Civil Division, you will be preparing estimates for underground wet utilities (water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer) for public and private projects.

• Analyze projects plans and specifications to gain a thorough understanding of the project
• Complete quantity take offs
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes
• Create labor estimates
• Use bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis
• Prepare documentation required to hand off project to project management team

• Three years of experience in sewer or water related field, including, but not limited to: design, construction management or project management.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Experience with EJCDC and AIA contract documents
• Expertise in using analytical tools
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
• Selfstarter
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Positive attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
