- Assisting Senior Architect by performing the routine aspects for architectural assignments
- Performing design calculations, sketches and technical comparisons
- Reviewing and editing project specifications
- Preparing and editing designs and drawings recommended by Senior Architect
- Preparing portions of project documents
- Researching code and regulatory requirements
- Researching design options, component specifications and document findings for Senior Architect and Job Manager
- Responding to contractor's questions and preparing alternate designs as needed under the guidance of Senior Architect
- Performing analysis and design retrofit of new and existing facilities
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Architecture accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)
- Licensed or close to being licensed in a . jurisdiction
- Minimum of 5-10 year's experience in the design of commercial, industrial, and/or municipal buildings
- Ability to communicate both conceptual designs and construction details in two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms
- Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills with 3D documentation (Revit) capability
- Expert level knowledge of CADD platforms such as AutoCAD
- Expert level knowledge of Revit or similar BIM modelling software with a proven ability to manage models and perform clash detection
- Architectural modelling and detailing with proven experience with large and complex BIM project delivery
- Working knowledge of 3D scanning and data processing techniques
- A strong foundation in construction technology and sustainable design as well as a dedication to continued knowledge growth in those areas
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-discipline Engineering teams to meet project objectives
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed (primarily day trips)

Our Northeast Engineering Design Organization is growing throughout the region and is looking for an Architect to join the team in Harrisburg, PA In this role, you will assist with the design, evaluation and implementation of new buildings and building alterations for municipal and industrial clients. You will cooperate and work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, regional leads across the Northeast, North America and GHD's global network.
