SUMMARY


Impact Confections, is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that warehouse assets are maintained to include raw materials and finished products.

This individual must set warehouse performance standards, employee performance standards, and align the department to achieve standards. The individual will be responsible for managing two shifts with the Warehouse Supervisor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local legislation and requirements for warehousing, shipping, and material handling, and ensure that our warehouse complies
  • Oversees cycle count program; inventory management to include raw materials, packaging, finished products and WIP
  • Create and manage receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes and procedures, and confirm staff compliance, inclusive of systems implementations
  • Leads Warehouse processes through warehouse productivity, inventory program, asset preservation and reliability, and cost reduction while consistently meeting and exceeding quality assurance standards
  • Recruit, hire, and train new warehouse employees
  • Oversee all warehouse employees, including creating schedules, providing coaching and mentoring, and issuing corrective action when required
  • Responsible for daily operation in receiving, order delivery in a timely and accurate manner, complete training of safety, quality, productivity, and work flow, build people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication
  • Ensures that products delivered are stored in an organized manner, so that quality is maintained, and efficient accessibility is achieved
  • Achieve and maintain corporate internal control objectives relative to inventory, warehouse equipment, and the warehouse
  • Inspect all warehouse equipment and order repairs and replacements when required
  • Ensures compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 plus years of work experience in warehousing required
  • 2 plus years work experience in a management position
  • Ability to create and manage warehouse processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in consumer package products or similar industry
  • Ability to develop Standard Operating Procedures
  • Strong employee relations, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong technical, problem solving, planning and process skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Warehouse Team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
