    Duties
    • Provide oversight, protect, and manage sensitive Information.
    • Coordinates all foreign visits and foreign disclosures with DISA/Department of Defense's Foreign Disclosure Officer.
    • Performs a variety of routine security duties including, but not limited to: Physical Security, Personnel Security; Information Security; Foreign Disclosure; and Foreign Visitor Control Program.
    • Reviews personnel security questionnaires to make a preliminary assessment of completeness and accuracy.
    • Verifies employee's authorization for access to DISA's Ft. Huachuca facilities and information technology (IT) systems.
    • Use automated security systems to protect DISA's and the Department of Defense's security compliance.
    Requirements

    Qualifications

    Qualifying Experience:

    To qualify at the GG-09, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

    For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in assisting in the development, planning, coordination, implementation, and oversight for all facets of security. Programs such as Physical Security (PHYSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Security Education, Training and Awareness (SETA), Information Security (INFOSEC), and Foreign Disclosure (FD) and Foreign Visitor Control Program. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume.

    All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

    In accordance with DoD Manual M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification, this position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP). Individuals occupying positions designated as DSPs are required to meet certification requirements of the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program. The incumbent of this position is required to obtain and maintain Tier 1 Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).

    Education

    SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT GG-09 LEVEL: Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education, or master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D., may be substituted to meet the experience requirement.

    To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

    Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.     • This is a Mission Essential position. The nature of the position's duties and the organization's operational mission requires the incumbent to physically report to their duty station in certain situations where non-essential employees are excused, such as during national emergencies, extreme weather situations, mission critical systems outages, and/or other scenarios as deemed appropriate at the highest levels of the organization's chain of command. As part of the Mission Essential designation, the incumbent may be placed in a 24/7 standby or recall status and be required to carry a mobile phone or other similar device to be directly recalled to duty from a recall roster. The incumbent may also be required to physically report to an alternate duty station during the activation of a Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan.
