Development Administrator
About the Position
The Development Administrator will strive to increase donations and grant funding and is responsible for managing the donor database and improving the organization's fundraising efforts mostly through written and administrative tasks.
Donor Management
- Gift processing, including entering donations and producing/sending acknowledgment letters
- Produce appeal letters and collaborate with team to create marketing materials for donors
- Communicate with donors intermittently through oral and written means
- Collaborate with President and Chief Operating Officer regarding donor stewardship
- Plan and organize stewardship events
- Maintain stewardship matrix for donor engagement
- Maintain and oversee donor database
- Create and ensure accuracy of donor giving statements
- Export and analyze various donor reports
- Maintain and oversee annual gala auction site
- Collaborate with team to create website in annual gala auction site
- Prepare grant requests for local and national foundations, communicating with foundations and collaborating with team when applicable
- Maintain foundation data base and report on grant spending, working with Finance Director to ensure accuracy
- Engage Board members in fundraising to support the organization
- Provide and present quarterly development reports to Development Committee
- Participate in Development committee meetings
- Prior employment or volunteer experience with faithbased organizations
- Willingness and tenacity in seeking new opportunities for donor engagement
- High level knowledge of Excel and Word
- Knowledge and experience working with donor databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interest and ability to interact with donors
- Experience with the following systems used by the organization is a plus:
