Description

Chartwell Escrow, an independent escrow company in Southern California, has an immediate opportunity for an escrow officer in our Palm Desert branch to be a contributing team member on a highly productive escrow unit.

Escrow Officers have full responsibility for management of the inventory of transactions under their care. They are ambassadors of the company and client retention partners to their sales team. Escrow Officers are the final auditors of each closing and the manager of post-closing holds or other matters. They are responsible for adherence to company policies and procedures as well as government and regulatory compliance. Additionally, they recognize unusual or sensitive circumstances which signal the need for advice from upper management. This includes Escrow Operations for escrow technical matters as well as Human Resources for matters involving internal staff.

  • Disburses funds as authorized by the Escrow instructions, including charges for title insurance, recording fees, real estate commissions, and loan payoffs;

  • Prepares final statements for the parties;
  • Secures releases of all contingencies or other conditions as imposed on any particular Escrow;
  • I would strike this portion, the real estate agents are responsible for the release of contractual contingencies
  • Serve as a central point of communication between all parties involved, including the buyer and seller, title company, real estate agents, business managers, attorneys, and mortgage broker;
  • Secures releases of all contingencies or other conditions as imposed on any particular Escrow;
