The Quality Control (QC) Analyst is responsible for manual testing using best practices to ensure software is operating as expected.

The QC Analyst will write, update, and execute test cases.

The QC Analyst will work as an experienced member of a cross functional team including software developers, subject matter experts, and project stakeholders.

Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork are essential for success.
main duties and responsibilities

Create, update, and execute manual test cases
Develop test plans for new software and/or updates to existing software
Assure the release process of new functionality and fixes is managed with quality
Work effectively with business team, support team, and other groups
Capture, analyze, and own defect creation through resolution
Report and track testing findings from quality control testing for future improvement.
Participate in release planning and build-related meetings
Complete testing within timelines identified by the Quality Manager and Development Manager
Maintain an open line of communication on a daily and weekly basis with the team and other department members

Escalate any critical or major findings or trends to the Quality Manager, Development Manager, and/or Director of Quality or Director of Technology.

This position may require other duties not mentioned above. Individuals may be responsible for other administrative tasks or be required to assist in other roles/departments as needed.
qualifications Requirements

A Bachelor's or technical degree in IT or related field of study and/or 3+ years' experience as a Quality Control Analyst.
