Job Summary:
At Caterpillar's Decatur, IL facility, we manufacture and assemble Large Mining and Construction equipment.
In this role as a Senior Product Service Engineer, you will report to the Manager Product Support, and will be primarily responsible for providing leadership and design new products or changes to existing products that are very complex.
As a member of the Product Support team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture.

Developing appropriate procedures and plans to ensure product quality and evaluating results to identify functional deficiencies. Correcting design flaws as needed.
Evaluating production processes to identify defects in manufacturing and design. Modifying designs to maximize production efficiency and product quality.
Soliciting and gathering internal and external feedback to identify potential new products and/or improvements to existing products that improve product serviceability.
