Camera Installation Temp

Position Purpose:


Under the direct supervision of Director of Security, assists the Security Maintenance Technician with servicing and installing security systems throughout CREC's offices, schools and programs.


Essential Job Functions:


Assists with Diagnose, repair, install and maintain cameras, Analog and Digital Video Recorders, ID Printer, electronic locks, paging systems, telephone systems and access control systems and camera surveillance systems.


Assists with pulling, hanging wire related to low-power systems related to video, access control, paging and telephone systems to include cabling and components.


Assist with the service, repair, calibration or test machines, devices and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic principals to include low-power systems.


Assists with trouble shooting to determine causes of operating errors and diagnosis the situation with the use of meters, testers, computers, tools and assistance from manufacturers and other resources.

Maintain a safe work environment.

Consults with the Security Maintenance Tech with the repair and maintenance of security systems.

May assist other maintenance technicians, IT Technicians as needed related to video surveillance and access control systems.


Additional Duties:

Additional duties as determined by the Director of Security and Security Maintenance Technician.


Equipment:

Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.

Diagnostic tools and software.


Travel Requirements:

Travel to Schools, programs and Central Offices.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Should have working knowledge of troubleshooting video surveillance systems, access control systems low-power systems.

The ability to keep or regain your body balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.

The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Must have computer knowledge.


Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:
Must be able to climb ladders.

Must be able to work in enclosed spaces.

Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

Must be able to be available for emergency situations/incidents and may be required to respond to location.


Qualifications Profile:

One years' experience in with low-power systems

Some experience working with Analog and Digital Video Recorders, access control systems and camera surveillance systems.

Experience in maintenance of low power systems and computers is recommended
