Job DescriptionNewell Corporation is currently looking to add an experienced field machinist/millwright to our team. Newell offers a wide variety of welding/fabricating/machining & assembly services at our facility located in Arlington, WA as well as our customers' facilities along the I5 corridor. At Newell, a field machinist/millwright is responsible to work with project managers and other machinists/millwrights facilitate and complete on-site machining, repair and assembly. When field work is not required our field machinist/millwrights work at our Arlington facility on manual machining jobs, internal machine/assembly projects or complete maintenance/repairs. Travel will be required for this position but normally within the state of Washingtion and for a duration less than 2 weeks at a time.
Required Skills/Experience:
-Familiarity setting up and operating manual machining equipment e.g. bridgeport, engine lathe, horizontal boring mill, vertical turning lathe.
-Familiarity with field machining equipment such as mobile milling/drilling/turning machines.
-Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gages and calipers to inspect components during setup and in process.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
-5+ years of experience as millwright.
-5+ years of experience doing field repairs and machining in heavy industrial environments.
