- Current Massachusetts registered Nurse license required
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification and ACLS necessary
- Display of critical thinking, service excellence, effective communication skills, ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Capability to lift a maximum of 75 lbs., with frequent lifting and/or carrying items up to 25 lbs.

Job Description:
Registered Nurse Emergency Department 36 Hours Nights
Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is currently providing a signing bonus of up to $12,000 for nursing roles in our Emergency Department. Nurses need to be licensed with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in emergency room nursing to qualify for the bonus.
Key Details:
- The signing bonuses are distributed in three installments, with the first payment (one-third of the total bonus) made within the initial 30 days of employment. The second installment is at six (6) months, and the final payment (remaining one-third) at one year from the start date, all being subject to relevant taxes.
- Full-time status at LHMC constitutes schedules of 30 hours or more per week; for part-time, it's 20 to 29 hours. Please note that per diem staff are not eligible for sign-on bonuses.
- Certain restrictions apply for current and former BILH candidates. Employees from BIDMC or within the BILH system are not entitled to the bonus. Applicants who were part of a BILH entity in the past 12 months are also excluded from sign-on bonuses.
- It's important to be aware that sign-on bonuses may vary based on the organization's recruitment needs and will be determined by Talent Acquisition as required. BILH/LHMC Talent Acquisition retains the right to modify sign-on bonus-eligible roles and amounts at any time.

As the Lahey Emergency Department expands, we are searching for experienced and qualified nurses for our new ED. Our skilled and experienced ED nurses deliver care to patients involved in accidents or facing immediate medical emergencies. Our ED nurses are adept at handling a wide array of critical situations. Given Lahey's specialized services like transplant, cardiology, and cancer care, many patients are already vulnerable. A seemingly common condition like a stomach bug in these patients can quickly turn into a serious crisis; our ED team ensures these patients are stabilized before admission.
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center uses EPIC for digital charting and medication management.
