Job Description Summary:

The acoustic and installation aerodynamics team in Munich is seeking a student for a yearlong industrial internship in Old Bethpage, NY.

The ideal candidate will have a background in computational aeroacoustics and fluid dynamics, specifically in the context of aircraft engines.

The working student will support the acoustics team by analyzing existing and new fan/propeller architectures using fluid dynamics and acoustic methods, as well as test rig data.

Essential Responsibilities:


The student will be responsible for planning, executing, and presenting project results under the guidance of a dedicated mentor within the team.

The tasks will involve assessing the acoustics of engine sub-systems and their components.


Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Currently studying or have completed a master's degree in aerospace engineering, with a preference for CFD/CAA.
  • Strong knowledge of aeroacoustics and fluid dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and Python.
  • Experience using standard CFD/CAA tools and the ability to extract useful information from simulations.
