The Role:

We are seeking a tenured HR professional to fill our Human Resources Manager position.

In this role, you will manage the daily operational needs of the HR department as well as be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions, and activities.

You will collaborate with other teams to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's overall business initiatives.

A Day in the Life:


  • Full cycle recruitment: Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring qualified job applicants for internal AE positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Implements new hire orientation as well as an onboarding/offboarding plan for all hires.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Completes biweekly payroll and all administrative duties required to maintain payroll and HRIS system
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Works with various benefit providers to manage and administer benefits programs serving as primary contact with providers
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training and affirmative action/EEO compliance
  • Develops, prepares, generates, and analyzes ongoing and adhoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel
  • Completes Forms I9, verifies I9 documentation and maintains I9 files.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

Strategic Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Coaches leaders to lead their teams, navigate difficult situations, and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Oversees and manages a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management. Identifies trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources.

  • Thorough knowledge of employmentrelated nationwide laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Maintains contact with HR interest groups, peers through SHRM, and a variety of industrial associates to exchange information and keep abreast of new HR developments, best practices, and market trends
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience
