The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is looking to hire detail-oriented
part-time Field Enumerator(s) to perform tasks that support our organization. Are you looking for a job with
flexible hours? Would you like to work for an
agriculture nonprofit that cares about its community and employees? We are looking for individuals, or teams, to go out into the orchards and do objective measurements of almond and walnut trees. You will be responsible to measure and record tree limbs and trunks, and count and record the nuts. This work begins the end of May thru mid August. We are also looking for sizing teams to work from home to measure, weigh and records the sample nuts during this same time period. There will be specific instructional seminars prior to actual field work to explain the processes involved.

territories. Founded in 1916, our mission is to grow and enhance American agriculture through policies, partnerships, and public engagement.


Since 1972, NASDA has employed enumerators to collect agricultural data on behalf of the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS).


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIELD ENUMERATOR

  • Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadlineoriented work environment
  • Ability to make crop counts in designated fields

WORK SCHEDULE
This part-time field service position works a
flexible schedule that
may include some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Weather, seasonal farm responsibilities, and community functions may affect work hours.
