Description:

We are Lockheed Martin**Responsible for the management of resources required to safely and efficiently plan and execute F-22 flight and ground test missions.

These resources include; developmental & operational test aircraft, Flight Test Engineers (FTEs), Discipline Engineers, mission planners, Flight Test Control Engineers (FTCEs).

Performs Full Spectrum Leadership duties and EVMS CAM Support as required and ensures FTE Test Directors and Test Conductors are qualified and maintain performance and currency levels established by the CTF.

Ensures testing is accomplished within Program Schedule constraints as well as F-22 program and local operating procedures. Ensures test aircraft are correctly modified and instrumented in advance of test execution of approved Test Execution Packages.

Participates in technical and test planning meetings to include flight test readiness review boards, Test Execution Package reviews, flight clearance reviews and Aircraft Operating Limits reviews.

Performs regular Integrated Product Team (IPT) and inter-site coordination. Ensures accurate and timely reporting of F-22 flight test program status and results. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, employee recognition, disciplinary actions, work assignments and salary.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline required
  • Flight Test experience is required
  • Experience with Flight Test aircraft maintenance & air vehicle engineering practices
  • Fighter Aircraft Flight Test Conductor/Director Experience
  • Current or previous Air Force Test Center Mission Control Room qualification

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.


Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Non-represented full-time employees:

accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
