Position Summary:


The Quality Assurance Representative will have a minimum of two years of experience, encompassing underwriting of property and casualty insurance, awareness and adherence to carrier delegated authority compliance.

Understanding of the underwriting audit process and familiarity with MGU agreements is preferred.


Essential Functions:
Works with appropriate business partners to prepare for carrier audits.
Use appropriate audit tools to assure underwriting guidelines are followed and adhered to by underwriters.

Assists with auditing MGU policy files on a set cycle to validate adherence to agreements and confirm that file structure and content meets company standards.

Works to identify and report any breaches in authority that challenge the integrity of processes and procedures to Senior Manager, Compliance and Underwriting Auditor and Manager Audit and Assurance.

Responsible for reviewing policies for completeness, and work with Senior Manager, Compliance and Underwriting Auditor and Manager Audit and Assurance to develop and recommend internal controls to minimize risk exposure and improve operational efficiency.

Provides regular updates to appropriate business partners with regular relevant audit findings and make recommendations for improvements.
Responsible for coordinating with other members of the audit team to manage audit reviews, controls and process implementation.
Perform special projects as needed to support the audit function of the MGU


Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree.
2-3 years with an Insurance organization in the capacity as a carrier or underwriting auditor. Strong analytical, mathematical, data management skills and decision-making skills.
Contract review experience in order to make sure agreements are understood to enable auditing. Organized, with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills - both written and verbal. Ability to work independently.
Ability to take initiative, guide, and influence others toward goal accomplishment. Working knowledge of audit frameworks.
