Description

Assist attorneys by performing clerical and administrative duties that enhance attorney effectiveness by providing information-management support, representing the attorney to clients and others.

Review mail daily, and scan/fax distribute or file as necessary.

Prioritize issues daily to determine matters of top priority and handle tasks accordingly.

Complete projects in a timely and accurate manner.

Check attorney calendars and task list daily and notify attorney of any appearances and deadlines.


Maintain attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences on Amicus, teleconferences, depositions; record and monitor court appearance dates, pleading deadlines, and filing deadlines; monitor evidence-gathering; monitor changes in litigation or rules and procedures.


Prepare correspondence and legal papers such as summons, complaints, answers, motions, discovery and responses, case management to statements, subpoenas including any other confidential or sensitive documents under the supervision of the attorney and/or a paralegal.

Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, coping, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.

Take initiative to create draft shells of discovery and discovery responses, motions, mediation briefs, and correspondence.


Represent attorney by communicating and obtaining information; following-up on delegated assignments; knowing when to act and when to refer matters to attorney.

Provide historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems. Answer inquires from clients or attorneys in a professional manner.

Take and/or perform transcription and dictation in a timely manner as needed an


Qualifications and Skills
General Office Experience
- administrative writing, verbal communication, organizational skills, time management, dependability, professionalism, and telephone skills.

Experience in litigation calendaring

Has scheduling, reporting and documenting skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Pro Skills.

Ability to transcribe through electronic program


Job Type:
Full-Time


Pay:
$55, $80,000.00 per year
