Duties:

As a IT Specialist (APPSW), GS /14, your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Administration of cloud hosted solutions, primarily Software-as-a-Service, on a day-to-day basis.
  • Performs maintenance tasks on supported platforms, such as configuration, user management, license management, reporting, security controls, and data management.
  • Provides technical project management of cloud implementation or enhancement initiatives, which requires planning and coordinating complex projects involving the study and understanding of technical and administrative work processes within the EOP.
  • Implements industry standard project management practices, tools, and techniques to manage and control projects throughout their project life cycle and influence change in OCEA.
  • Creates and ownership of project plans, charters, status reports, risk/issue identification, budget/staffing needs, and other documentation.
  • Maintains supported platforms including software updates and upgrades, in coordination with the platform vendor(s), integrator(s), product owners, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Serves as the tier 2 or tier 3 point of escalation from service desk for issues related to supported platforms.
  • Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on one or more contracts and providing technical direction to industry partners.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
  • The agency requires 30 days on site before being eligible to participate in the telework program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer's Representatives (FAC-COR), level 1, within 3 months of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the CompTIA Security+ CE certification, or a PITC approved alternative certification determined to meet DoD Directive 8140 within 6 months of employment.

Qualifications:


TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS:Applicants possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered mínimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards.
