JOB SUMMARY:
The role of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) involves delivering respiratory care services to patients throughout the hospital, following established protocols and physician directives. The position requires interaction with individuals of all age groups.
The Licensed Respiratory Therapist functions within the scope defined by NYS Law, Title VIII Education Law, and the Respiratory Department's job description.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Candidates must have completed an approved Associate Degree Program in Respiratory Therapy or an equivalent program recognized by the Department of the State Board.
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist license.
