Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Senior Human Resources Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Human Resource (HR) Generalist will be responsible for the daily functions of the HR department including, but not limited to hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay and benefits, employee leave of absences, and enforcing company policies and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain employee personnel files.
- Handles the day to day email correspondence and phone calls.
- Assists with recruiting, interviewing and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental manager to understand skills and competencies required for open positions.
- Implements new hire onboarding process from start to finish.
- Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matter to the appropriate staff.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (or related field) or 2 years in Human Resources field with a high school diploma.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel) and other related software
- Ability to adapt to new technology and HRIS systems (ex: ADP)
