Inversion Summits is a boutique investment summit business hosting a few upscale summits per year in various locations for investment professionals across the alternatives industry.

The Investor Relations Associate will be part of the Inversion Summits team, directly assisting the CEO, Director of Investor Relations, and Senior IR Associate in sourcing attendees, performing investment manager due diligence, and managing relationships with current and potential investment managers and LPs. The Investor Relations Associate will have exposure to a broad range of GPs and LPs across asset classes, including public and private equity, venture, hedge funds, and real assets.

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, analytical individual that enjoys researching and learning about alternative investments. This person is passionate about relationship-building and feels confident communicating with managers across asset classes.

This job is completely remote but requires in-person attendance at each of our summits per year. Candidates must be able to travel abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor, source, and evaluate existing and prospective investment managers across asset classes
Review manager reports, presentations and factsheets to determine fit for Inversion Summits
Participates in meetings with investment managers and LPs
Prepare periodic performance reports and screens on managers
Perform supplemental research and analytics to help better understand underlying manager strategies and portfolios
Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of prospective fund managers and their portfolios
Develop and maintain relationships with institutional LPs and managers to stay informed on investment trends and markets and discover compelling investment opportunities
Perform other related duties as required

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
2+ years of relevant work experience in investment management, investment banking, or another similar area
Experience as an investment analyst at a family office, endowment, foundation, fund of funds or OCIO preferred

Required Skills:

Proficient in the language of investing and finance
Knowledge of commonly used financial products, capital markets, and asset classes
Strong analytical, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
A "people person" who enjoys relationship-building and can quickly recall names and faces
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Expertise using Microsoft Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel as needed
Must develop and maintain relationships with institutional LPs and managers to stay informed on investment trends and markets and discover compelling investment opportunities
Perform other related duties as required
