    Description

    The Membership Engagement Specialist plays a key role in building strong connections with our diverse member base, focusing on medical students and residents and fellows. This position, reporting to the Deputy Director of Member Engagement, is responsible for enhancing member engagement, satisfaction, and retention among these segments.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and implement targeted strategies for recruitment, engagement, and renewals within domestic and international medical student, resident, and fellow communities.
    • Coordinate marketing initiatives to boost acquisition, engagement, and renewals within these segments.
    • Implement omni-channel campaigns on various platforms, including email, print, social media, and digital ads.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance member benefits and engagement tailored to medical students and residents, and collaborate on developing resources.
    • Analyze campaign metrics to assess effectiveness and propose new initiatives.
    • Monitor membership trends and provide insights for improving strategies.
    • Conduct market research for this demographic.
    • Articulate the value of membership through various channels.
    • Maintain relevant products and benefits for medical student and resident-fellow members.
    • Update membership resources on the organization's website.
    • Coordinate marketing for affinity programs.

    Program Management:

    • Manage Resident-Fellow programs and support related initiatives.
    • Provide assistance to Membership Committee work groups.
    • Support a medical student member group with tailored information and resources.
    • Manage submissions of Residency and Fellowship vacancies.
    • Oversee the Resident Recognition Award.
    • Develop SOPs related to membership development.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BA/BS or equivalent experience.
    • Experience in professional or medical associations is a plus.
    • Proficiency in CRM software, online communities, and email marketing systems.
    • Experience with Google Analytics preferred.
    • Strong computer skills and ability to work independently.
    • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
    • Service-oriented with the capacity to handle various situations.
    • Adaptable to new software applications.
