    Systems Architect III

    Location:

    Job description:


    Senior IT Architect needed to help drive transformation as a key member of the Business Support Systems Solution Architecture team.


    This architect will be responsible for helping to drive architectural design for projects and should have a passion for sharing and helping the development teams to implement industry best practices and design patterns.

    The position will require extensive expertise and experience in front-end, middle-tier, and backend development, working with multiple technologies from Hansen (Sigma), Ericsson (Order Care), Microsoft, Oracle and IBM.


    To be considered for this position, you require the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:


    • 10+ years experience designing and implementing large solution architectures from vision to post implementation
    • 10+ Experience implementing consistent design principles at all application layers such as client, business logic layer, service stack, and backend
    • Extensive experience leading IT teams to successful implementation of solution designs
    • A self starter that is willing to take the initiative to track down issues and drive solutions to a successful conclusion
    • 10+ years experience designing solutions using RDBMS technologies
    • 10+ years experience designing solutions using NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Redis
    • 10+ years experience designing solutions using data caching strategies and implementations.
    • Extensive experience with the object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, Apex, Typescript, etc, and helping teams to implement best practices around these philosophies.
    • Well versed in creating and maintaining Open API Specification v3, JSON Schema & XML Schema.
    • 10+ years experience producing architecture documents needed for assigned software applications and projects. This includes flow diagrams, UML sequence diagrams, entity relationship diagrams and other documentation artifacts
    • 5+ years experience working in an Agile environment.
    • Strong communication, both verbal and written, with excellent organizational skills and proven experience in collaboration with teams to achieve end results.
    • Ability to work in fast-paced Agile environments to deliver requirements on specified dates.
    • Ability to listen to a problem/situation and distill it into a base understand, which can be solved with simple solutions
    Strongly Desired:


    • TOGAF experience desired
    • Experience with telecommunications highly desired
    • Experience creating and presenting training and presentation documentation that can be used to grow development team skills

    Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
    :


    • Help define and evangelize the front office system architecture roadmap that can then be used as a guide for project development work
    • Create solution architecture designs and documentation, to help drive the successful implementation of projects that helps further the system vision. Documentation would include architecture details, UML sequence diagrams, process flow diagrams, data models, open api specifications, performance expectations, etc.
    • Be a strong advocate for development teams, helping to drive the defined solution architectures to completion and assisting in finding solutions as unknown requirements are found.
    • Interact with Product Owners, Business Analysts and the user community during the development process to solicit feedback and ensure the best product is delivered.
    • Identify problems uncovered during development and taking the initiative to find and define solutions to resolve them
    Education/Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
