Description
Provides support to the maintenance department by maintaining the District's buildings to ensure they are safe and functional at all times.
They will manage routine maintenance and emergency repairs to prevent and resolve safety or comfort issues. Must pass a background check and drug screen.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contributes through a team effort to achieve District goals, objectives, and properly maintains the buildings in a safe, sanitary, and functional manner.
- Communicates effectively and listens intently.
- Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, including but not limited to alarm procedures, and basic procedures.
- Interacts with staff, faculty, students, parents, and customers in a positive and supportive way.
- Assists with general grounds work when necessary, such as snow removal or general trash pick up.
- Performs routine maintenance around the building such as fixing damaged windows, door frames, or walls.
- Experience working with both power and hand tools.
- Properly stores tools and equipment, clean work areas to maintain a safe work environment.
- Understands and has the ability to troubleshoot issues with boilers, air handlers, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year experience working in a maintenance department.
- Able to complete basic repair services.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Pay:
$ $19.26 per hour
