The Assistant Director of Social Emotional Learning and Student Services, informed by current research and best practices in SEL and student services, will build systems and structures that lead to the successful development and implementation of an integrated approach to social emotional learning, positive classroom routines and management, and academics.

This position is a full-year position.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education and Student Services, the Assistant Director of Social Emotional Learning and Student Services provides leadership, supervision and support for the districts social emotional learning, nursing, counseling, social work, and psychology services for students in grades PreK-12 in the Randolph Public Schools.

The goal of the Assistant Director is to ensure that each students social, emotional, and learning needs are met through a collaborative, whole-child, community approach.

The Assistant Director works closely with school and district personnel to ensure that all students are healthy, safe, supported, engaged, and academically challenged.

- keeping procedures comply with state and federal law and district policy.

Summarizes, interprets, and disseminates key information about current developments in comprehensive Student Services program through reading of professional journals, participation in professional development, and involvement in professional organizations.

Plans and facilitates professional development sessions for Student Services staff members.

Advises, informs, and acts as a resource to the Superintendent, Director of Special Education & Pupil Services, other administrators, and staff on matters pertaining to the Student Services department.

Develops projects and write grants to obtain state and federal monies for programs and/or services for the Student Services Department.

Reviews existing programs and services of the Student Services Departments and work with administrators to strengthen student services.

Attends various district and school leadership meetings as requested.

Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Special Education and Student Services and the SuperintendentTerms of Employment: 12-month position Administrative position Reports to: Director of Special Education and Student Services
