- In-person Engagement—through tens of thousands of children and adults volunteering at our Giving Factory warehouses to sort and package high volumes of new and like-new donations from our communities for our Service Partners to distribute to the children they serve.
- Online Product Donations—Giving Factory Direct matches product donors directly to children who need the items they have to donate. GFD is currently available in a growing number of communities as we expand our reach nationally.
- Advocacy and Awareness—Cradles to Crayons is uniquely positioned to raise Clothing Insecurity as a national issue through awareness campaigns, data/evaluation, and legislative outreach.
- Model and lead a positive "One Cradles" culture, underpinned by Cradles' Cultural Values and related behaviors.
- Serve as a member of the Development team to effectively support fundraising efforts, including printing and e-filing donor appeals, acknowledgment letters, and stewardship notes.
- Assist with the donation processing and database management, including data entry, contact merging, pledging gifts, acknowledgement letters, and tributes.
- Conduct prospect research for relationship managers, including both individual and corporate fundraising.
- Schedule and communicate day-of details with families and individual volunteers.
- Solicit in-kind donations for raffles and other special events.
- Create peer-to-peer fundraising pages on Click & Pledge and WordPress for campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
- Work with the Development Associate to assist with Teen Leadership Corps recruitment, scheduling, and programing.
- Be trained and able to lead volunteers in at least one station in the Giving Factory
- Provide excellent customer service by responding in a timely manner to emails and phone calls.
- Contribute to other departmental and organizational goals and activities as needed.
- Support fundraising team to meet established fundraising goals.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of C2C programs, data, and impact.
- Accurately maintain data and systems for tracking.
- Uphold high quality of customer service with all C2C stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with other C2C staff, and external stakeholders.
- BA degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a development environment a plus.
- Read, speak, and write fluent English, with superior written and verbal skills.
- Cooperate and show willingness to assist others.
- Communicate with co-workers and volunteers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Easily navigate through Microsoft Office suite and willingness to learn Salesforce CRM system.
- Able to work independently, under supervision, and in a team-based and goal-oriented environment.
- Work evening and weekend hours, as necessary.
- Easily walk up and down stairs, bend down, reach, push and pull, and lift up to 30 lbs.

Two in 5 kids in the United States are currently facing Clothing Insecurity, going without basic essentials like pants, shoes, diapers, and school supplies during their critical development years. Three of the top 10 reasons kids miss school are rooted in Clothing Insecurity—just one example of the significant short- and long-term social and economic costs when these needs go unmet. Cradles to Crayons keeps Clothing Insecurity at the core of our mission and is the only large-scale nonprofit organization to focus on this resource gap. Since its founding, Cradles to Crayons has distributed more than three million customized packages of essentials to children in Massachusetts, Greater Philadelphia, Chicagoland, and nationally, through Giving Factory Direct—a first-in-kind online product donation platform launched in 2021.Cradles to Crayons takes a three-pronged approach to mitigating Clothing Insecurity:
POSITION OVERVIEW:Reporting to the Senior Manager, Major Gifts, the Development Coordinator will provide fundraising and logistical support for the Development team to ensure that annual fundraising and volunteer engagement goals are met. They will be assigned to help with tasks in support of the relationship managers, peer-to-peer fundraising, and administrative duties. The Development Coordinator will be expected to support other departmental and organizational goals and activities as needed.
