Description
Provides fiscal monitoring and oversees programming of contracted providers for intellectual disabilities services for the agency.- Plans and implements new initiatives and programs within the agency.
- Supervises Intellectual Disabilities (ID) Casework Supervisors, Coordinators, and Program Specialists and handles all related personnel matters.
- Prepares and provides reports as requested by county, state, or others.
- Meets with providers, community agencies and consumer groups to assess community needs.
- Develops detailed plans for new services or revisions to current programs.
- Conducts regular supervisory conferences with Casework Supervisors, Coordinators, and/or Program Specialists.
- Serves as a liaison between Office of Developmental Programs Regional staff and the County office and the Office of Child Development and Early Learning as needed.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned by Administrator, including but not limited to: Managed Care readiness, compliance, and participation in all related meetings and trainings, and other various duties that might normally be handled by the Administrator, or representation of the Administrator at various meetings where a decision for the agency needs to be made.
- Acts on behalf of Administrator in his/her absence as requested.
- Attends meetings and trainings as required.
- Assists the MHID Administrator to ensure coverage of the Agency at all times.
- Performs other jobrelated duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social science
Required Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in public or private social work which included one (1) year in a public welfare program and one (1) year in a supervisory capacity -OR- an equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social science.
Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and a willingness to travel as needed.
Must obtain all required clearances including:
Childline, FBI and State Police.
