We are hiring a CFO/COO to serve as the firm's operational leader and the Founder/PM's right-hand. This is a hands-on operator role for someone with deep financial operations experience own the mechanics of running an investment firm not just managed vendors You will be accountable for building a scalable controlled and secure operating platform across finance fund ops compliance and internal operations.Responsibilities
- Own and/or oversee the full monthly NAV close process including reconciliations positions cash financing corporate actions pricing valuation checks exception resolution Manage cash operations subscription redemption flows wires banking relationships liquidity tracking approval controls Partner with prime brokers and the fund administrator on trade lifecycle workflows breaks operational issue resolution Build repeatable processes for management fee incentive fee calculations expense allocations investor-level accounting working with the administrator Implement institutional-grade controls checklists sign-offs around close investor flows reporting accuracy Finance Firm Management Own budgeting forecasting expense management vendor cost optimization management reporting Oversee GP company accounting workflows in coordination with accounting tax ensure clean documentation audit readiness Create KPI dashboards operating cadence makes firm more predictable efficient back-office Compliance Regulatory Operations Partner outside compliance support run compliance program policies testing training surveillance marketing review Drive SEC RIA readiness ongoing obligations ADV support annual review books records vendor diligence AML KYC OFAC workflows investor onboarding operations Business Planning Growth Strategic Operator Partner Founder quarterly business planning AUM growth targets hiring plan vendor stack roadmap operating budget Build operating plan supports scaling processes reporting controls team structure Support new product entity initiatives evaluating executing potential second fund new share class feeder vehicle timeline service provider coordination operational setup compliance requirements launch readiness Improve fundraising IR execution better systems workflow CRM investor onboarding pipeline reporting cadence data room organization Operations Platform Build Document SOPs strengthen operational resilience improve speed accuracy business Technology Security Stack Own technology security stack access controls vendor permissions data governance security-first mindset Manage contracts insurance HR payroll coordination internal admin functions lean environment
