    About the Role

    Pursuit is looking for a dynamic individual to join their team as the Director of Policy. As the Director of Policy, you will be a key player in Pursuit's External Affairs team, leading the way in shaping Pursuit's policy and legislative objectives. This role will involve conducting thorough policy research, developing policy recommendations, and engaging with stakeholders to advocate for Pursuit's workforce development and financing model at various levels of government.

    Responsibilities of the Director of Policy include:
    • Leading in-depth policy research on workforce development, apprenticeships, tech sector, and more
    • Generating compelling content such as white papers, memos, and presentations
    • Building relationships with external policy stakeholders
    • Representing Pursuit at key policy events and conferences
    • Managing major policy research projects
    • Advocating for policy priorities
    Requirements for this role:
    • A minimum of 8 years of government experience in policy research
    • A Master's degree in Public Policy or related field
    • Strong proficiency in data analysis and statistical research
    • Proven track record in crafting policy memos and proposals
    • Ability to work autonomously and drive results
    • A genuine passion for Pursuit's mission of economic transformation
    • Preference for prior experience in government or workforce development
    Location and Compensation:
    • Position is hybrid with at least 3 days per week in Long Island City office
    • Salary ranges from $160,000 to $185,000 annually with performance-based incentive compensation
