Job Description:


As a Physical Therapy Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting physical therapists in providing exceptional care to patients.

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at supporting therapy sessions, maintaining the clinic environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.


Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assistance: Assist patients in performing prescribed exercises and activities under the guidance of a physical therapist. Provide encouragement and support to enhance patient motivation and adherence to treatment plans.

Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas before patient sessions. Ensure all equipment is clean, sanitized, and in proper working order. Assist in the maintenance and organization of therapy equipment and supplies.

Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and report patient progress, reactions, and concerns to the supervising physical therapist. Document patient interactions and therapy activities accurately and timely.

Patient Education: Provide basic instruction to patients on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention techniques as directed by the physical therapist.

Clinic Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of therapy areas, including treatment rooms, exercise areas, and waiting areas. Assist in stocking supplies and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, other therapy aides, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and optimal outcomes.


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
