Description

The Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg (HSU / UniBw H), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, Chair of Mechatronics (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sachau), is seeking to fill the position of a

Research Assistant (m/f/d)
(pay grade 13 Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD); 39 hours per week)

starting at the earliest possible date for a fixed term of 3 years.

The research activity will be carried out within the framework of the third-party research project "Localization and Identification of Acoustic Anomalies in Ship Technical Systems (LIAS)", funded by the Military Technical Service for Ships, Naval Weapons, Maritime Technology and Research (WTD 71).
The aim is to advance research in the field of localization of (body) sound sources. Within the project, methods will be investigated and further developed that will enable crews of naval units to localize and identify the sources of acoustic anomalies through an existing sensor network.
